A hand-thrown clay vessel poured with a candle from the Harmonie
scent collection — Wild Ginger, Pillow Talk, Mystique, Secrets, Señor,
Patrón or Boody Call. When the wax is gone the vessel stays. Wash it out and
it becomes a bowl, or have it refilled.
Two other vessels sit alongside this one. If you want the Sedona Sky scents
instead — Lavender, Honeysuckle, Santal Desire, Balsam Fir and the rest — those
are on the Sedona Sky refillable vessels.
If you want the vessel on its own with no candle in it, buy the
empty 14 oz vessel.
Scents in this collection
Seven Harmonie fragrances, each poured in coconut wax on a lead-free cotton
wick: Wild Ginger, Pillow Talk,
Mystique, Secrets, Señor,
Patrón and Boody Call. Pick the scent and
the glaze color separately.
Seven glaze colors
White, Dark Red, Bright Red, Dark Blue, Bright Blue, Green and Yellow. Each
one is hand-glazed, so no two come out identical — the pooling and the depth of
color shift from batch to batch. That variation is the point of buying a
hand-made vessel rather than a molded one.
The vessel is the part you keep
Made in Arizona by our artisan partner K2C Designs. The clay body is
food-safe, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe, which is what makes the second
life possible: once the candle is finished, the vessel works as a cereal bowl,
a soup bowl, a salsa dish, a soap dish or a small planter.
Refills
We refill vessels rather than replace them — you keep the pottery and we pour a new candle into it, in whichever scent you want next. Write to us when your vessel is empty and we will send you a prepaid return box. Your refilled vessel comes back in about two weeks, and a refill costs about 40% less than buying a new candle.
Care
Trim the wick to about a quarter inch before each burn and keep the first
burn to two or three hours. Stop burning when about half an inch of wax is
left. To clean the vessel out, let the last of the wax set, ease it out with a
spoon, then wash with warm soapy water.

Questions
What is the difference between this and the Sedona Sky vessels?
The pottery is the same. The scents are not. This listing carries the
Harmonie fragrances; the Sedona Sky
listing carries the Sedona Sky fragrances.
Can I really eat out of it afterward?
Yes. The clay is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. Wash the wax residue out
first.
Will my vessel look exactly like the photograph?
No. Each one is hand-thrown and hand-glazed, so size, glaze depth and
surface texture vary. Expect a close relative of the photograph rather than a
copy of it.
How long does the candle burn?
It depends on the scent and how you burn it. Trimming the wick and keeping
sessions to three or four hours will get you the most out of it.
Can I buy the vessel without a candle?
Yes — choose the empty vessel option on this page, or buy the
14 oz vessel directly.
Who makes them?
K2C Designs, an artisan partner of ours in Arizona. Every vessel is thrown
and glazed by hand.
