Harmonie Candle Warmer Lamp, Matte Black
Pairs well with
What it does
This is a lamp that melts a candle instead of burning it. The bulb sits directly above the jar and warms the surface of the wax from above, so the scent lifts off a liquid pool rather than a flame. There is no wick to light, nothing burning in the room, and no soot on the glass or the ceiling. You get the fragrance of the candle without the fire.
Powered by electricity, not by a flame
The warmer runs on ordinary household current. Plug it into any standard outlet, set your candle on the base, and switch it on. The heat comes from the bulb overhead — that is the entire mechanism. Nothing is consumed, nothing combusts, and there is no open flame to watch or put out. It is the reason a warmer can sit safely on a nightstand, a desk, or a shelf with a curtain nearby, where a lit candle should not.
Why our wax and oils throw so well on a warmer
A warmer suits our candles better than it suits most. Two reasons, and they compound.
The first is the wax. Coconut wax is a soft wax with a low melt point, so it turns to liquid readily at the gentle temperature a bulb produces. Harder waxes and paraffin blends need more heat before they release anything, which is why they often sit on a warmer and do very little. Ours pools quickly and evenly across the top.
The second is what happens to the fragrance. A flame is hot enough to destroy part of the scent it releases — the lightest top notes burn off first, which is why a candle can smell different in hour one than it does an hour in. A warmer never gets near that temperature. The premium scented oils simply evaporate off the warm pool intact, so the bright top of a fragrance survives alongside the base. Citrus stays citrus. A dry rose stays dry.
The practical result is a fuller, rounder scent throw at a lower temperature, and a candle that lasts considerably longer, because the wax is not being consumed by a flame. When the room has enough scent, switch the lamp off and the pool sets again.
How to use it
- Set the warmer on a flat, heat-tolerant surface and plug it in.
- Remove the candle lid, centre the jar on the base, and switch on.
- Give it fifteen to twenty minutes to form a shallow pool across the top.
- Switch off when you leave the room. The wax hardens flat and is ready next time.
- Do not trim the wick — you are not lighting it. Leave it as it is.

Questions
How does a candle warmer lamp work?
A bulb above the jar radiates heat downward and melts the top layer of wax. The fragrance lifts off that warm pool. Nothing is lit and nothing burns.
Does a candle warmer use electricity?
Yes. It plugs into a standard household outlet and the bulb is the only heat source. There is no flame and no fuel.
Is a candle warmer safer than burning a candle?
There is no open flame, no wick and no soot, which removes the main risks of a lit candle. It is still an electrical appliance that gets warm, so keep it on a flat surface, unplug it when you are away, and keep it away from children and pets.
Will a candle warmer make my candle last longer?
Considerably. A flame consumes wax as it burns; a warmer only melts it. Switch the lamp off and the same wax sets and is used again.
Do I need to trim the wick?
No. Wick trimming exists to keep a flame low and even. Since you never light it, leave the wick alone.
What size candle fits this warmer?
For best performance and fit, use with 8 oz candles only. That matches the recommended candle height and dish diameter above and gives the cleanest, most even melt pool.
