Why this candle lasts so long
Coconut wax melts into a scent-rich melt pool after roughly the first 15 minutes of use. The oil-rich melt pool does much of the burning, much like an oil lamp, rather than relying only on the wax. That is what helps our 8 oz candles provide a long-lasting fragrance experience.
Because this candle does not need petroleum oil to help the wax burn, it is made to avoid black smoke while burning or when extinguished. If a candle leaves black traces on walls or sends black smoke into the room, added petroleum oil is often the reason.
