Why does a Harmonie candle last so long?
Our coconut wax is designed for a slow, even burn. After approximately the first 15 minutes, the candle develops a melt pool that is largely fragrance oil with a small amount of wax, so the fragrance oils do much of the burning while the wax supports the flame. The result is a long-lasting, scented experience that is a little like an oil lamp, with the warmth and atmosphere of a candle.
Harmonie does not add petroleum oil to force the wax to burn. Combined with a 100% cotton braided wick, this supports a clean burn without black smoke during use or black traces when the candle is extinguished. When you extinguish the flame, you may see a small puff of white smoke.
A better burn ritual
For the best experience, let the melt pool reach the jar edge on the first burn, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before relighting, and burn for 3–4 hours at a time.
