Honeysuckle Scented Candle - Sweet Floral | Sedona Sky
Pairs well with
Scent notes
Honeysuckle and citrus, with nothing hiding behind them. The label calls it Summer Morning and that is close to right: the citrus arrives first and lifts, the honeysuckle sits just behind it, sweet but never syrupy, and the two hold together for the length of the burn instead of separating into a top and a base. It is the simplest fragrance in the Sedona Sky range, and the one people tend to keep in a kitchen.
- Notes — honeysuckle nectar, light citrus
- Character — sweet, fresh, uncomplicated
- Suits — mornings, kitchens, bathrooms, smaller rooms
How to use
Trim the wick to a quarter inch before every light. Give the first burn two to three hours so the melt pool reaches the glass, then keep single burns under four hours. This scent is light rather than heavy, so it carries better in a smaller room — a large open space will thin it out. If you want it in a big room, light it half an hour before anyone arrives rather than expecting it to fill the space as it burns.
What's inside
Food-grade coconut wax, premium scented oils drawn from flowers, fruits and roots, and a 100% lead-free braided cotton wick. No paraffin, no dyes, no lead core. Eight ounces, about eighty hours of burn time. Hand-crafted in small batches in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Why green glass
Honeysuckle is filled in green glass rather than the amber we use for the darker scents. Tinted glass keeps daylight off the oils, and that matters most for light florals and citrus — they are the first notes to flatten on a sunny windowsill. When the wax is finished, warm soapy water empties the jar cleanly. It holds kitchen utensils well, and it is the right size for a drinking glass.

Questions
What does the Honeysuckle candle smell like?
Sweet honeysuckle nectar with a light citrus lift over the top. It is a clean, bright floral rather than a heavy or powdery one, and it does not turn sugary as it burns.
How long does the 8 oz Honeysuckle candle burn?
About eighty hours, provided you trim the wick each time and keep single burns under four hours.
Is it a strong scent?
No — it is one of the lighter candles we make. That is deliberate. If you want something that fills a large room, Wild Ginger or Santal Desire will do it better.
What is the wax?
Food-grade coconut wax, with no paraffin blended in. It burns at a lower temperature than paraffin, which is why the burn time is long for an eight ounce jar, and it will not leave soot on the glass if the wick is kept trimmed.
Where is it made?
Hand-crafted in small batches in Scottsdale, Arizona.
